The Danish Road Directorate has in cooperation with 65 of the municipalities in Denmark developed a web-based application that handles the usage of a certain area of roads for a various number of purposes such as digging, placement of materials, events, and assorted road works. The system conveys this to the relevant road authority. A DataFlex WebApp Server handles this (via a web service) and conveys them to subsequent processing of applications in relation to permissions to dig, notification of completion and so forth.
Machine Learning is used for preprocessing of new applications before a caseworker see them. Called “Vejman.dk”, this new routine saves time so that additional caseworkers are not required to be involved at this stage.
